Day four on tour with the NY ladies and the lads from the WIT campus took the u16 and u18 girls teams for a training session focus mostly on ball handling skills and tactical play. Many thanks to Robin , Conor, Michael and Thomas for taking two great sessions the girls are improving all the time and hopes are high for a big preformance in Bally McCarbery tomorrow evening.
During the session current Waterford senior manager and 3 time All Star Davy Fitzgerald came in and gave an inspirational team talk to the girls telling his own personal story and how he achieved so much in spite of several setbacks. He also spoke and challenged the girls about their own aspirations. Davy stayed around for the rest of the session talking with the girls and mentors and wishing the team well before heading off to plot Cork's forthcoming downfall on sunday.
